- Cooked chick peas(Whole benbal gram or chenna) 2 cup
- Onion 2
- Tomato 2
- Ginger Garlic paste 1tbl
- Red chilli powder 1/2 tbl
- Salt
- Oil
For Masala Powder:
- Black Sesame seeda 2tbl
- Peanut 1/4 cup
- Corriander seeds 2 tbl
- Whole red chilli 6
Method:
- Fry the masala ingredients with oil and let it cool for few minutes and grind it with adding water.
- Make a fine paste of onion and tomato.
- Heat the kadai and add 2-3 tbl of oil.
- Add the ginger garlic paste and fry till the raw smell goes.
- Add onion and tomato puree and fry till the raw smell of onion leaves.
- Now add 2tbl of Masala powder and fry for few minutes.
- Add salt and chilli powder as required.
- Add chick peas (chenna) and 1cup of water and cook covered for about 8-10 mins .
- Once the oil collects on top of the gravy switch it off.
- Garnish with chopped corriander leaves
Serve hot with chappati,puri and paratas.
